So i was trying to take pictures of my F2 finch’s babies…their first babies. And it was not coming out good. So i decided to video tape and the mom shows up, how cool is that? so it comes, sits on them, feed them and so on and so forth. check it out

zebra finches are so cute my just layed 8 eggs but the female droped 1 out from the nest when she was afraid
i don’t remember very well, but we gave them to my cousin. forgot why, but i have a small parrot now.
i got 10 zebra finches only 2 sit on there eggs should iseperate? 2 so they lay eggs and sit on em idk why others arnt sitting
Do all your finches have privacy when they lay their eggs? I mean do you try to peak through? Sometimes i’ve figured maybe they’re not old enough. It happens with mine, usually they will lay eggs in the boxes without any nesting material
why do u got the light for
i would love to see the cycle but my birds are laying eggs but they just not hatching got any tips cos they seem happy enough
now the nest is complete the eggs will follow very quickly getting them to hatch is the hard part
you feed them egg mix which should be made fresh every day available at most pet shops
one tip would be that you could add another male or a female. My finches used to do that all the time until one day All 5 of their eggs hatched. Sometimes they lay eggs, but they’re not fertilized by the male.

No! the eggs don’t need sunlight. The parent will take care of sitting on them and keeping them at the right temperatures.

my white zebra finch has just laid her first egg, but she looks all puffy. Is she ill or is that normal?

How is she doing now?… How is her calcium intake? Egg binding could be an issue. It occurs when the hen lacks calcium and in the process of producing the egg the shell cracks within her. It is fatal.

First of all if you want to breed them you have to condition them. By having a nest, nesting materials will do.
